An Evening to Benefit Alvarado Elementary
Need an estate plan but don’t know where to start? Did you use legal zoom to do your will online and aren’t sure what you missed? Have you named guardians for your children? Not even sure what an estate plan is? Don’t let your confusion ferment, let’s uncork the mystery of estate planning together!
Let’s be honest, an evening discussing estate planning sounds about as thrilling as watching a slow-motion pour of a Cabernet Sauvignon, but fear not! We'll turn the mundane into merry with an evening of laughter and learning. Get your questions answered over a glass of wine and join us for a fun and informative evening where we’ll go over the basics that every parent should know. From understanding what an estate plan is (and what happens if you don’t have one in place), to the pitfalls of DIY planning and key considerations when nominating a guardian… we’ll pour over the details of these important topics as well as the free/low-cost steps to take now to make things easier on your family in the event that the unthinkable occurs. We’ll provide wine and cheese as well as hors d’oeuvres, but please feel free to bring a bottle to share if you feel so inclined.
Join estate planning attorney and founder of KA Law, PC, Karen Ahrens, for an information session and get your questions answered in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, all while supporting your favorite elementary school. Proceeds from this event will go directly to Alvarado Elementary School.
